I used to wonder if I could ever quit alcohol, sometimes I just couldn’t afford to drink and the thought of going without for a few days would instill me with panic. I would drink the cheapest, strongest and nastiest alcohol, so that gives you an idea about how desperate and financially dire my situation was! I was addicted for nearly thirty years, started the day with a drink and alcohol was never out of my system.

The simple step that can assist any addict quit alcoholism is to take control of their emotions and state of mind. However, this is easier said than done. It concerns training and persistence. After the training and numerous patience, you will be able to control your state of mind under any circumstances. Whether loss of job, loss of a loved one, loss of contract, etc, you will be able to maintain your state of mind. Inability to do this is what often leads many people into alcoholism.

Alcohol addiction is a common sight in today's generation. Especially in the youth, none of the parties are said to be complete without the involvement of alcohol. Alcohol is stated as one of the top causes of death and ailment in the list of addictions. It can cause many conditions that can get the better of your health even before you realize it.

Some people who are able to consume vast quantities of alcohol without losing their senses believe themselves not to be alcoholics, but this can also be considered as another symptom of being an alcoholic.

Working smart to reach your goals is important. Working hard on your goals is OK, but beware of work without thought for better ways or new ways to reach your personal goals. Don't let unneccesary or harmful stress lead you away from what you want to achive.

Have you ever wondered why there are "blue Mondays" and "happy Fridays" at work? It is because we made it that way! If we were to change our attitude towards .Mondays, such as have a casual dress day on Monday or bring in snacks, wouldn't that change our attitude? The choice is yours-be positive. Create things in your life that will help you maintain a happy outlook in life. Everyday must be a TGIF (Thank Goodness it's Friday) day.

The key to achieving your goals is to decide what they are, sounds obvious, but how many people blindly exercise away, copy other people and feel like they are getting nowhere.

The very first thing to do when choosing an exercise regime is to goal set or visualise the results you want to achieve. Break this down into manageable chunks and establish monthly keystones.

Remember that you can never achieve your goals without the help of others. Your job performance doesn’t depend on you alone – it is a team effort. Good employees know that whatever they do they are all working towards a common goal, so they help each other out.
